John Doty, PhD, is the president of Noqsi Aerospace, ltd, in Pine, Colorado. As the founder, chief designer and engineer, John has taken on unique challenges in the field of X-ray and gamma ray imaging design. John served as MIT's Project Scientist for the High Energy Transient Explorer Mission (HETE-2). Currently, he is developing new compact measurement chains for X-ray imaging with CCDs. Originally designed for medical imaging, these will fly in space on the ASTRO-H mission.
